Hello!
It's been another good (but normal) week in January!
I'm (Alene), starting to get very uncomfortable as I'm now 33 weeks pregnant, but still feeling blessed that we have a baby coming our way so soon. It's a funny thing to want to make the most of this time before the baby comes to enjoy our little family the way it is now, but I'm honestly to sore and tired to do much! Oh well, still trying to power walk a 2-3 times a week and have fun. Also FINALLY finished that huge 40 cap order with the help of Kelv's homemade invention... the graduation cap press. They helped so much and we're happy to have those caps on their way to Vermont.
The boys, although they both have their moments, have been really good and helpful. When I get too uncomfortable they are really good to start helping around the house and being sweet. Camden's penmanship is really coming along when he wants to write nicely, and Xan's math skills shock me more and more as he does math in his head like his big brother.
Kelv is starting to transition to his new team at Ancestry, Day1 Team. He'll miss working with Pat on the Community team but it sounds like Jeff and Danny on the new team are also really great guys. We feel blessed that Kelv gets to work for a good company with such a wonderful environment. Something else Kelv has started to do which I love, is to send the boys emails of impressions and thoughts he has about them. It was an idea Kallene gave him, so Kelv set up email accounts for both boys so we can send them little thoughts and pictures to enjoy when they're older. I think it will be a sweet treasure for them if we can get in the habit of doing it.
I've officially closed my Etsy shop until after the baby comes. YAY! I have one more order to complete but it feels good to know we can focus on keeping the family healthy, family time, and prepping for the baby this last month before we get to meet him, instead of me stressing about orders. We've also started our taxes and it will be interesting to see if monetarily, now that Kelv has a good paying job, if the whole Etsy shop is worth it.
Lastly, my parents came and gave a 45 minute presentation to Camden's kindergarten class and it was fantastic! They did such a good job exposing the vibrant African culture to those kids, and they loved it. I so appreciate the time and effort they put into it, and they even presented to the AM class too! Such a kind sacrifice of their time.
That's all for now! TTFN
