First Sunday of 2015!

Well, it's 2015! Can you believe it! I still remember the whole year 2000 crisis when everyone thought all the computers were going to crash and huge problems would occur... which didn't. But still, can't believe we're already in 2015!

So, Xan and Camden continue to be cuties. One cute thing Xan said today came after scripture study. We were talking about how many years it would be until the boys could go on missions. Xan in his trepidation asked with all the sincereness, and a bit of concern in his voice, if I (Mommy), would hold his hand on his mission. I promised him that I would hold his hand as we walked there together. Oh how I wish I could hold his hand during his whole mission! Every mom's dream right?! But at least I can hold his hand on our way to the MTC. Bless his cute little heart. Love that kid!

Camden is adoring right now too. He cut out 4 pink hearts tonight, writing his own name 3 times, and Jesus in heart shapes on one side. Then he wrote each family members name and a smiley face on the other side, so one heart had each person's name. Then he flipped them over and we had to guess which heart had our name on it. When we guessed, we'd have to say "Love". He said he did it because he loves all our family so much. :-D And we love him! He very liberal with hugs and kisses, and saying I love you, as is Xan. Xan is quick to compliment me pretty much everyday on something whether it's the skirt I'm wearing, or scarf, and just at random moments he says, I love you. God sure does love Kelv and me! He sent us two adorable, wonderful boys, and we can't wait to meet our next little son when he arrives in March.

Church went well today. I really wanted to introduce the new song for this year, "I know that My Savior Loves Me." That song is so powerful to me. I remember hearing it for the first time right after being put into a Primary Presidency and being overwhelmed by the power and testimony of that song. Today, I told the children a story of when Jesus came to the Americas after being resurrected. I tried to be descriptive so they could really imagine it well, and the spirit was really strong. Even in Junior primary where we had 9 new Sunbeams today, they were all really good. I wanted to sing them the song, and I tried, but the spirit was so strong I just couldn't get through it because of the emotions. I think I'll be able to hold it together better as we learn all the words, and I wanted to do the song better justice today, but I don't think it was necessarily a bad thing that the kids saw some emotion from me. Hopefully it will help them feel the power behind the song too.

It truly is such a special event and I'm so glad they kept such a good record of those events in the Book of Mormon 3rd Nephi. How special it will be when he comes again someday.

We've also had a productive week with getting the house ready for baby! The nursery is cleaned up of so many Etsy boxes, and actually looks like a baby's room. Kelv even installed new blinds, and is working on some book shelves too. He also installed a roller curtain to hide all the ugly storage we have along the far wall. We still have quite a bit to do, but it's vastly improved. Yay!

Pictures to come of the room!
