Baseball, I'm Drinky, & Yard projects

Xan's in start smart baseball, and while he's improved a bit, the program isn't as well run this year. Camden's T-ball experience on the other hand has been good. We should put more into helping I think, but he gets practice on Thursday and game on Saturday and has a good time. He has some good hustle and even goes outside his zone when he's focusing during the game - he's not sure yet where to throw it, but oh well, none of them do. He was racing the runner on 3rd base to home a couple of times... sigh. He's having fun, right? ;-)

Our favorite Xan phrase is still "I'm drinky". Which we call him out on and correct him saying "you're thirsty?" and he still repeats back that he's "drinky" - it's great.

Our shed base project has expanded beyond my wildest dreams to now include a patio with pavers that has also exploded the cost of the project. Nonetheless we're excited for it and it will be really great to enjoy for the rest of the time we're here and hopefully add great resell value. We'll put to good use I think. We had the Elders over (Christy & Leif) and had a dinner outside with them. A patio will be really nice when it's done. Big hit to the bank - I don't know how I agreed to it, but it'll be super nice in a few weeks.

The boys definitely enjoy bed time stories!

Scooters and trikes - they love 'em, even while wearing Krispy Kreme hats!

Go Krispy Kreme!

Museum of Natural History trip...

Xan doesn't have quite as much in the way of acting as Camden does ;-)

 Well organized line of dinos

They really are good buds :)

Fertility Update

So I realized I didn't do a fertility update. It's been a long month but after taking Femora, having shots of FSH and ultrasounds every 2-4 days it seems like we missed this month. The Femora caused many many of my follicles to develop but none to really take off. Finally a couple did start to get bigger but not big enough for me to release. That's when they gave me the FSH shot. Then the next time I came back they realized that the egg may have released on it's own and we missed it. My progesterone levels a week later were inconclusive as well too at 2.7. Above a 3 and they would have felt confident that I ovulated... below a 2 and they would have thought that I hadn't ovulated... but 2.7 is in the middle so they don't know.

We'll alter the dosages and increase the shots next month and hopefully have success!!

Moab to Memorial Day and More!

So over the last few weeks we've done some very fun things!
- Kelv had a trip to Moab (he'll post pictures later for that)

-We had a wonderful busy memorial day visiting all the graves in Logan, Farmington, and SLC. In a previous post we mentioned that a little girl, Rihanna Hoover, from Camden's preschool died. Going to the cemeteries really affected Camden and he was extremely saddened. We promised him we'd go see Rihanna's grave and give her a pinwheel to make her smile in heaven. It was a special experience although her headstone was not in place yet, and I feel like helped Camden with closure a bit more. We talked A LOT about death, heaven, and the resurrection this weekend. He's really grasping it so well for a 5 year old.

-The boys and I survived Kelv being gone pretty well
- Camden started Tee-Ball. He is definitely a better soccer player at this age but his enthusiasm and love of this new game is delightful. He's learning fast too! Love it!

- We visited Grandma Sanders. After going to Primary Children's Medical Center we like to see grandma. It was a great visit and we took her to Zupas for a lovely lunch and chat. Camden was delighted at how he was "almost" grandma's height! AND we had great news at PCMC! Xan doesn't need to wear the boots and bar brace anymore!!! WAHOO!!

- Planted our garden
- Kelv dug over 4 tons of sod and dirt to prepare for our shed
- We watched Jane while Kallene was incredibly sick. Kallene is pregnant (about 17 weeks) and Jane and baby Chatterton #2 will be about 13 months apart!
- The boys and I went to the new Natural Museum of Curiosity

- Alene and Ruth and a girls night while Kelv was gone. (Alene and Ruth went and did Initiaries in the temple. It was so special to do this together! We then ate at Zupas and talked for over an hour. Then Ruth helped me put the boys to bed and we watched a movie. Wonderful Time and Wonderful Memories with my Wonderful Sister! She is now in Malaysia and ready for a new experience although a bit daunting).

- Alene and Ruth run in the NOW I CAN 5K. They did awesome and got 4th and 5th in the 19-29 age range with times of 23:30 and 23:31. Alene pushed Ruth hard at the beginning but started to fade by the end. Ruth (a distance runner) was finally starting to feel good by the end (she was hating Alene's pace and optimism at the beginning), so she helped us finish hard even though Alene was way tired. Another wonderful sister memory!

- Camden had his last day of Preschool from Mrs. Kami Taylor's class
- We got pictures with the Rec Center Squirrel for the Rec's 1st Birthday
- Xan started using the word "Drinky" instead of "Thirsty"
- Alene's parents take the boys to the Zoo so Alene and Kelv can get lots done that day

And we got a new piano from the Segos! It needs some tuning but we are just thrilled to have it! Yay!
